Mesa Community College transfer student shares how MyPath2ASU supported her transfer journey
Mesa Community College transfer student Brooklyn Shumway, a junior majoring in film and media production within The Sidney Poitier New American Film School in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, successfully navigated the transfer process utilizing ASU’s MyPath2ASU® pathway program.
The MyPath2ASU transfer experience helps students complete prescribed transferable coursework at their community college while working towards their associate degrees. With MyPath2ASU, students save both time and money while minimizing loss of credit and earn guaranteed university admission into their MyPath2ASU major of choice once all requirements are fulfilled — the most efficient and affordable path to a bachelor’s degree!

This past April 2023, Academic Alliances established two new Universal Articulation Agreements to deliver 400 guided pathways into ASU on campus, online and ASU Local programs.

Explore ASU during Transfer Day for prospective transfer students
Arizona State University is excited to host Transfer Day on May 18, 19 and 22, 2023. Designed for prospective transfer students, this half-day event will provide information on ASU degree programs, transfer resources, financial aid and scholarships, and more. Participants will even have the opportunity to meet with academic colleges and take a campus tour. Transfer Day programming will be available on all four ASU campuses in the Phoenix metropolitan area beginning at 8 a.m. We encourage your students to attend this awesome event to get first-hand experience about transferring to ASU!
Live-hosted virtual visit and on-demand programs for your students
In addition to visiting campus for Transfer Day, did you know that your students can participate in virtual visit live sessions through Zoom? Facilitated by ASU enrollment and academic staff, students can learn about attending ASU, ask questions, and virtually explore each campus.
Plus, they can even watch, on demand, information sessions specifically for transfer students as well. On-demand topics include Next Steps for Admitted Transfer Students, Transfer Credits and MyPath2ASU, University Information Session for Transfer Students, and more. There are even college-specific sessions including Barrett, The Honors College. And the great thing about on demand is that your students (and even you) can watch as many as they’d like, at any time. So check out all of the live-hosted virtual and on-demand options available, and be sure to share with your students.
Admitted transfer students: next steps
Now that your students have successfully signed up for MyPath2ASU as part of their transfer journey, they’ll need to be aware of the next steps once they have been admitted to ASU. Admission Services has all of this information to help students transition to the university on their resource webpage . Admitted students can even download their very own fall 2023 virtual admit packet, including a checklist of to-do items to prepare for the fall semester, in addition to valuable resources, My ASU information, financial aid and scholarship services, and more.
